Activities
The initial idea of Romano Them has been to provide information on the situation of Roma in Kosovo and of Kosovo Roma in Diaspora.
At the heart of our activities is our website, which contains today more than 400 posts on issues such as human and minority rights, refugee protection, etc. It offers an extensive data base of documents and reports and is regularly consulted by human/Roma rights activists, journalists, and researchers.
Romano Them has also engaged in lobby and advocacy. We have provided information to international NGOs and IGOs, national policy-makers and media. We have initiated several common calls on issues such as constitutional rights of the Roma in Kosovo.
We have also participated in conferences.
Romano Them has been active in networking with the aim of strengthening the impact of Kosovo Roma in political decision-making.
One of our objectives is political decision-making to be transparent and involving those who are concerned in first place.
In this sense, we advocate for a negotiated solution of the refugee crisis and putting an end to the political and legal limbo, refugees have been exposed to for many years.
At this moment, the activities of Romano Them are entirely based on voluntarism.
